Dr Bhisham Singh is an orthopaedic surgeon with a special interest in spine surgery. He is trained in treating spine conditions from the neck to the lower back.

Dr Singh completed his orthopaedic training in 2001 from the University of Mumbai. Following this, Dr Singh specialised in paediatric orthopaedics and spine surgery before moving to the United Kingdom where he obtained fellowship from The Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2009.

Looking for sunnier shores, Dr Singh and his family moved to Sydney in 2011, where he completed two prestigious AOA-accredited fellowships: the first at The Children's Hospital at Westmead and the second at Royal North Shore Hospital.

Dr Singh has practice locations across the northwest and southwest suburbs of Sydney where he sees adult and paediatric patients suffering from all spine conditions from the neck to the lower back.

  Qualifications and Experience

Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (2015)

Dr Singh underwent 2 years of supervised practice, in conjunction with six years of advanced surgical training in orthopaedic surgery in the UK, four years of advanced and three years of basic surgical training in India. He was awarded the fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of surgeons in 2015.

Royal North Shore Hospital, St Leonard's, Sydney

Dr Singh worked at this prestigious tertiary centre on a year-long AOA- accredited fellowship with his experience focusing on trauma, infection, tumour and adult deformity.

Fellowship in Spine Surgery (2011)
The Children's Hospital at Westmead, Sydney

Dr Singh trained for twelve months in the spine unit at this tertiary referral center in an AOA-accredited fellowship, with exposure focusing on scoliosis, congenital and acquired deformity, and paediatric spine trauma.

Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (2009)

Dr Singh was awarded the Fellowship after six years of advanced surgical training in the UK . He then worked as Senior registrar in orthopaedics and spine surgery at the West Hertfordshire hospitals NHS trust.

MS(Orth) DNB (Orth) (2001)
Dr Bhisham Singh was awarded the Master of Sciences in orthopaedics and the Diploma of the National Board after his surgical training in orthopaedics in India.he trained at the prestigious Sir J J group of Hospitals in Mumbai. Dr Singh achieved the highest rank in this nationwide exit examination and was awarded the gold medal.

MBBS (1996)
Dr Singh completed medical school at Grant Medical College, University of Mumbai and graduated with distinctions. A period of internship included six months of work in remote rural western India.
